Ingredients

  • 1/2 of a large mamey, or 1 small mamey
  • 5 cups milk of choice, almond milk used here
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp honey
  • Ice, for serving

Instructions

  • Cut the mamey in half and scoop the flesh into a blender.
  • Add the vanilla, honey, and half of the milk.
  • Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the mixture into a large pitcher.
  • Add the remaining milk and stir to combine.
  • Serve over ice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure your mamey is very ripe—look for softness when gently squeezed.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for a spiced twist.
  • Want it colder? Use frozen mamey chunks or toss in a few ice cubes before blending.
  • This drink can be made ahead—store in the fridge for up to 2 days and stir before serving.
  • For a thicker version, use less milk and blend with crushed ice.
