This boozy coconut Brazilian lemonade blends whole limes, sweetened condensed milk, and coconut cream with rum or tequila for a frothy, tropical twist. Sweet, tangy, and creamy, it’s the ultimate refreshing cocktail for summer parties or a fun twist on a classic lemonade.
Ingredients
- 4 limes, preferably thin-skinned, cut into 8 wedges each
- 4 cups cold water
- ¾-1 cup sugar, to taste
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- ¼ cup coconut cream
- 6-8 oz rum or tequila
- Ice cubes, for serving
- Slices of lime, for garnish
- Toasted coconut, for garnish
Instructions
- Wash limes well and trim ends. Cut each into 8 wedges.
- Add lime wedges, cold water, sugar, and condensed milk to a blender. Blend 5–8 seconds until chopped but not pulverized.
- Strain mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher. Press pulp to extract liquid; discard pulp.
- Rinse blender. Pour lemonade back in, then add coconut cream and rum (or tequila). Blend on high until smooth and frothy.
- Fill glasses with ice, pour over cocktail, and garnish with lime slices and toasted coconut. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Chill coconut cream before blending for extra frothiness.
- Don’t over-blend the limes or the drink may turn bitter.
- Substitute tequila for a sharper, stronger flavor.
- Add fresh mint for a mojito-inspired twist.
