Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 4 cups cold water
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar, to taste
  • 1 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice, for serving
  • Fresh strawberry slices, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the halved strawberries, 2 cups of the cold water, and sugar. Blend until completely smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, milk of choice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Fill a large pitcher with ice and add the remaining chopped strawberries. Pour in the blended strawberry mixture, then gently pour the milk mixture over the top to create a pretty layered effect.
  • Stir the agua fresca to combine. Taste and adjust the sweetness or consistency, if needed.
  • Serve immediately in tall glasses over ice, and garnish with fresh strawberry slices. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
  • Adjust sugar based on strawberry sweetness and personal preference.
  • Chill for 30 minutes before serving for a colder, more refreshing drink.
  • Use whole milk or almond milk for added creaminess or a dairy-free option.
