This creamy agua de fresa is a nostalgic, indulgent twist on the classic strawberry agua fresca. Blended with three kinds of milk and sweetened to perfection, it’s fruity, rich, and refreshing — a favorite for sunny days, family meals, or when you're craving something sweet and cool!
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
- 4 cups cold water
- ¼ cup granulated sugar, to taste
- 1 12 oz can evaporated milk
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Ice, for serving
- Fresh strawberry slices, for garnish
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the halved strawberries, 2 cups of the cold water, and sugar. Blend until completely smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, milk of choice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Fill a large pitcher with ice and add the remaining chopped strawberries. Pour in the blended strawberry mixture, then gently pour the milk mixture over the top to create a pretty layered effect.
- Stir the agua fresca to combine. Taste and adjust the sweetness or consistency, if needed.
- Serve immediately in tall glasses over ice, and garnish with fresh strawberry slices. Enjoy!
Notes
- Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
- Adjust sugar based on strawberry sweetness and personal preference.
- Chill for 30 minutes before serving for a colder, more refreshing drink.
- Use whole milk or almond milk for added creaminess or a dairy-free option.
