- 1 jalapeño
- 1 – 2 serranos depending on desired heat level
- 1/4 white onion
- 4 garlic cloves

- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 1/2 – 1 cup of water to thin out the salsa as needed

In a stock pot over medium-high heat, boil the jalapeño, serranos, onion, garlic, and tomatillos until cooked through, about 12 – 15 minutes.
Transfer the cooked ingredients to a blender and blend on high until completely smooth.
Heat the oil in the same pot over medium heat.
Pour in the blended salsa and thin with 1/2 – 1 cup of water, depending on your desired consistency.
Simmer for 8 – 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Season with salt to taste and serve warm or chilled.
