- ½ cup vanilla creamer dairy or non-dairy; sweetened or unsweetened
- Pinch ground cinnamon for garnish
- Sweetener to taste sugar, honey, agave, or piloncillo syrup
- Ice
Brew ½ cup strong coffee or pull 1–2 shots of espresso and let cool slightly.
In a glass, pour in the horchata, then add ice.
Slowly pour in the espresso or coffee, followed by the vanilla creamer.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and stir gently to combine.
Taste and adjust sweetness as desired. Enjoy immediately.
- For a layered look, pour the espresso slowly over the back of a spoon.
- Use homemade or store-bought Salvadoran horchata—both work great.
- Sweetened creamer adds dessert-like flavor; unsweetened gives balance.
- Chill coffee fully before mixing to prevent watered-down flavor.
