Ingredients

  • ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce Kahlua
  • 1 ounce freshly brewed espresso, chilled
  • ½ ounce café de olla simple syrup, adjust to taste
  • Ice
  • Star anise, for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add vodka, Kahlua, espresso, and café de olla syrup.
  • Shake vigorously for 30 seconds until the drink is well-chilled and a rich foam forms on top.
  • Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with a star anise, serve immediately, and enjoy.

Notes

  • For the best foam, use freshly brewed espresso that’s cooled slightly before shaking.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying the syrup amount.
  • Chill your martini glass beforehand for the smoothest presentation.
  • If you prefer a creamier texture, add a splash of cream liqueur.
