Truffle Aioli
This quick, luxurious truffle aioli whisks together truffle mayonnaise with fresh garlic, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard for a dip that elevates absolutely everything it touches. It takes 5 minutes to make, gets better the longer it sits in the fridge, and turns simple fries or a burger into something that feels way more special.
Equipment
- Whisk
Ingredients
- ½ cup Maille Truffle Mayonnaise
- 1 garlic clove, finely minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp warm water, to loosen if needed
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Whisk together the Maille Truffle Mayonnaise, garlic, fresh lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper until completely smooth and combined.
- Add a teaspoon of warm water if you want a slightly looser consistency for dipping. Taste and adjust lemon and salt as needed.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve. The aioli gets significantly better as it sits and the flavors meld.
- Serve with fries for dipping or slather on burgers for a burst of flavor.
Notes
- Make this at least 30 minutes ahead if you can – the garlic and lemon meld into the truffle mayo and the flavor deepens noticeably after resting in the fridge.
- Mince the garlic as finely as possible so you get even flavor distribution without biting into raw garlic chunks.
- Add the warm water only if you want a thinner, more drizzleable consistency. Skip it if you’re using this as a spread on burgers or sandwiches.
- This keeps well in the fridge for up to 5 days in an airtight container, so double the batch if you know you’ll use it throughout the week.
