Just got back from Mitsuwa after not having gone in so long and here’s a little haul of everything I got! If you haven’t heard of Mitsuwa, it’s a Japanese grocery store with a couple locations in the U.S. and the one I visited today is their Costa Mesa, Ca. location.
Any time I go to Mitsuwa I head straight to their sushi section first because it’s what I’m always craving. They have a great selection of fresh sushi so I got their salmon nigiri, spicy tuna musubi and their negitoro chumaki roll.
The salmon nigiri was ridiculously fresh and buttery, and literally melted in my mouth – each bite had me doing a little happy dance! I love musubi and the spicy tuna variation was so good! I loved the saltiness from the crisp nori paired with the spiciness of the tuna. And lastly, the negitoro chumaki roll! Which was incredibly flavorfullll, The combination of minced tuna and green onions was perfection.
This haul was a small one but I enjoyed every single bite – can’t wait go back and stock up on other goodies!
