Jump to Recipe

Frying the meatballs in olive oil

The best part of knowing how to make these Classic Oven-Baked Meatballs is that this ONE recipe can be an appetizer, it can be lunch, it can be dinner.

And because the ingredients are simple, you’re able to dress them up however you like!

Bake in your favorite store-bought or homemade marinara to serve as an appetizer, in spaghetti, in a meatball sandwich. Or toss these in your favorite wing sauce (maple habanero, buffalo, teriyaki, sweet and sour—just to name a few) and pop a toothpick into each individual meatball for a ‘less-messy’ version of a chicken wing appetizer. Need something warm and comforting? Making an Albondigas Soup, or an Italian Meatball Soup! Enjoy them over rice and veggies, over mashed potatoes with cranberry sauce, tossed into a yummy stroganoff.

These simple homemade meatballs are the best, because they’re so versatile!

How to Make These Classic Oven-Baked Meatballs:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Gently combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Then grab small batches of the meat mixture into your hand, roll them into approx. 1-inch balls and lay them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, ensuring that there is at least an inch of space in between each meatball. Feel free to use another baking sheet if needed to accommodate them all!
  4. Once you have all your meatballs on the baking sheet, pop them into the oven to bake for 15-minutes, then flip them and bake for another 3-5 minutes.
  5. Remove them from the oven, plate and enjoy!
