Sweet and Spicy Honey Chipotle Sauce
This Sweet and Spicy Honey Chipotle Sauce is so easy to whip up and soooooo damn good with meatballs, on wings, bbq chicken or ribs, spread on sandwiches—even to use as a dip for chicken tenders and French fries!

- ¼ c honey
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo
- ¼ c adobo sauce from peppers
- ¼ tsp liquid smoke
- 2 garlic cloves, microplaned or minced
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ c water
Start by adding all the ingredients to a blender or food processor, with the exception of the water, and blending until smooth.
Add the honey chipotle sauce to a medium-sized saucepan and bring to a simmer.
While the sauce heats up, add the 1/4 c of water to the blender or processor to rinse out as much of the remaining sauce as possible and add this to the saucepan as well. Stir to ensure it is all thoroughly combined.
Once the sauce reaches a simmer, lower the heat to about medium allow the sauce to slowly simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
Turn off the heat and allow the sauce to cool for about 2 minutes before enjoying.
